Weyburn Review

The Weyburn Beavers will start their 2013 season with a home game against Moose Jaw on Friday, May 31. They will host the Moose Jaw Miller Express at Tom Laing Park, and it will be a special dedicated game for both teams.

The 15th edition of the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show is shaping up to be one of the best ever, as the biennial show takes over the Weyburn exhibition grounds from June 4 to 6, with a full slate of booths, both indoor and outdoor.

Lloyd Oliver Fisher passed away on May 2, 2013. Lloyd was born on February 10, 1933 in Abbey to Jim and Adelia Fisher. He attended school in Lancer until the age of 11.

The Weyburn Comp concert band performs "Sky Dance", in a special tribute to Shanara Gall, who passed away on Wednesday, the same day as the concert. Gall was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, and she was a dedicated member of the concert band.
