Weyburn Review

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Michelson-Meckling of Weyburn. Marie passed away on December 2 at the Weyburn hospital with her husband, children and some of her siblings around her.

The Canadian Blood Services will hold a holiday blood donor clinic in Weyburn on Tuesday, Dec. 18, and will give local donors the opportunity to dedicate their donation to someone special.

January 11, 1919-November 27, 2012

Rose Hoffart, late of Weyburn, passed away November 30, 2012 at the age of 84 years. Rose was born to Harry and Elizabeth Kuntz on May 9, 1928. The Kuntz family lived in the Slager district southwest of Tribune.

Weyburn's Mayor Debra Button is seeking to expand her sphere of influence as a politician, as she announced her intentions to seek the chair of the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) at their convention in early February.

Administrators at the Weyburn resource centre for the Canadian Mental Health Association are fine-tuning the organization's programs for the New Year. The CMHA Youth Program, in particular, will appeal to a wide range of teenagers.

The Weyburn Kinsmen & Kinette Club will be holding its annual Twinkle Tour on Thursday, December 13. People of all ages can meet at the Weyburn Senior Center on December 13 at 6:30 p.m.
