The City of Weyburn and representatives of the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show will be an exhibitor at one of the world's largest oil shows, the Global Petroleum Show in Calgary, running from June 12-14.

Team members taking part in the Relay For Life make their way around the outdoor loop, added onto the track for the Relay For Life, to help make up for holding the Relay indoors at Crescent Point Place for the second year in a row.

Lit luminaries light up the walking track at Crescent Point Place on Friday evening, as all the teams take part in a reflective walk to celebrate the friends and loved ones written on each luminary bag at the 2012 Relay For Life.

Agriculture Minister Lyle Stewart has announced $50,000 in funding for the Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association (SSGA) from the province's Voluntary Traceability Fund.

This month's traffic safety blitz, held over the May long weekend, saw 50 motorists in the province charged with impaired driving, 27 temporary driver's licence suspensions and 28 tickets for having liquor in a vehicle.

Canadian PGA Tour member and Weyburn native, Graham DeLaet, will be in Saskatoon on Tuesday, June 5 to help launch the 2012 Golf Day in Saskatchewan. DeLaet is currently 93rd on the PGA Tour Money List.

The first ever STARS Lottery in Saskatchewan has officially launched with 2,206 prizes worth over $3.4 million. The STARS Lottery is a significant source of funding to help keep STARS in the sky.

The under-10 Mini Red Devils girls soccer team was in Swift Current last weekend to participate in the Southwest Soccerfest tournament. The girls first faced Swift Current White and won 3-0. They then faced the Moose Jaw Storm winning 5-0.
