Report from the Weyburn Fire Department for the period of December 21 to 27, 2010: *On December 27, fire crews attended a motor vehicle accident near Yellow Grass. *Fire crews attended a vehicle fire in the parking lot of the King George Hotel.

A long-time member of Weyburn's junior hockey team will be featured on CBC's Hockey Day in Canada next month. Hockey Night in Canada's Kelly Hrudey was in Weyburn on December 16, 2010 to film a spotlight on Weyburn Red Wing Coach Dwight McMillan.

Family Justice Services is offering a program for newly separated and divorced parents.

Brennan Jones of Weyburn will be going to the Saskatchewan Provincial Tankard next month as part of the Pat Simmons rink of Regina. Jones curls second, while teammates Dallen Muyres and Steve Laycock curl lead and third, respectively.
