Yellow Grass (cpd) - The Yellow Grass Ladies Night will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13, in the Yellow Grass Communiplex. The theme chosen was "Let's Paint the Town Pink". Guests are encouraged to wear their craziest, pinkest outfits.

The Golden Sheaf Award was presented to Keith Kaufmann at the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce's Farmer Appreciation Night on November 2. Kaufmann said it was "fantastic" to be honoured by the farming community.

The Weyburn Salvation Army has launched their newest fundraising campaign, "Cash for Our Community" and is hoping it will catch on with locals. The new campaign replaces their "Arrest Request" fundraiser.

The Yorkton Terriers came to Weyburn Tuesday night and for a while it didn't look like they'd be able to play any hockey due to darkness. The lights were dimmed due to pre-game festivities, then wouldn't come back on.

Weyburn received high marks for its participation in the national edition of Communities in Bloom. The awards ceremony was held in Halifax on October 30.

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the period of October 25 to 31: *In the early morning hours of October 31, police attended to several noisy party complaints and disturbances at local bars. No charges were laid in any of these incidences.
