Back on track. The Saskatchewan Roughriders improved to 5-2 on the season with a 37-13 romp over the B.C.

The sixth annual AM 1190/The Family Place Million Dollar Hole-in-one kicked off at Jubilee Park on August 18. Several residents made their way to the park to try their hand at a prize-winning swing.

Weyburn RCMPand Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's assistance in solving a trailer and recreational vehicle theft. Sometime between August 1 and 3, a car trailer and quad were stolen in the Ralph area from a lease location.

Scotty the T-rex received a grand welcoming to Weyburn at the Soo Line Historical Museum on August 18. The Museum held a reception to acknowledge the arrival of the travelling exhibit from the Royal Saskatchewan Museum (RSM).

Weyburn's Garett Walbaum and Eric Evans were in Kindersley from August 11 to 15 to play as members of Team Saskatchewan in the Canada Cup Midget Baseball Tournament. In the opening game they faced Team Manitoba winning 5 to 3.

Sun Country Health Region announced that Hal Schmidt, vice-president of finance and corporate services, has resigned. CEO Cal Tant accepted Schmidt's resignation, effective immediately.
