Three elementary schools in Weyburn will close a rich history of serving the community at the end of June, as their staff and students will all move to the new Legacy Park Elementary School in September.

The Weyburn Police Service experienced a busy week with 108 calls for service during the week of June 7-13, resulting in 15 charges under the Traffic Safety Act and nine charges under the Criminal Code of Canada .

The Saskatchewan Health Authority will be hosting an AstraZeneca vaccine clinic in Weyburn on Wednesday, June 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will be held at the clinic located at 1560 New City Garden Road.

With a few exceptions, anyone who is 14 days past their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at time of exposure and is asymptomatic no longer has to isolate when named as a close contact of a COVID-19 positive person.

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce announced the recipients for the 2021 WEYBEX awards presented by Prairie Sky Co-op, on June 11.

The Weyburn area has no new or active cases of COVID as of June 15, while there are 47 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan, bringing the provincial total to 48,043 cases.
