One Saskatchewan resident who tested positive for COVID-19 has died. This individual was in the age group 80+ and was reported in the Saskatoon zone. There are 190 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Dec.

The COVID outbreak declared at the Weyburn General Hospital Third Floor on Dec. 29 has been amended to include the entire facility.

New COVID-19 cases have come down, but that could be due, in part, to fewer people getting tested over the holidays. Vaccinations are rolling out, but it’s going to be several months before they are really widespread in distribution.

Three Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. All three deaths were in the Saskatoon zone, with one in the 30-39, one in the 60-69 and one in the 80+ age groups.

Saskatchewan’s new recycling program for consumer batteries will provide an option for people in various parts of the province to dispose of their household batteries in an environmentally responsible manner.

An outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared by the Saskathewan Health Authority at the Weyburn General Hospital as of Dec. 29, in addition to the outbreak at the Weyburn Special Care Home.
