Groups and organizations that conduct charitable gaming fundraisers in Saskatchewan have received approximately $3 million through the province’s charitable gaming grant program during the past six months.

Even though 2019 was a record low year for the number of people killed and injured in impaired driving collisions in Saskatchewan, the work isn’t done. It’s up to everyone to continue to bring impaired driving numbers in Saskatchewan even lower.

There are eight new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on August 5, bringing the total to 1,376 cases. The new cases are located in the North East (3), Saskatoon (2), Regina (2) and Central West (1) regions.

The Weyburn Concert Series has issued a last reminder to holders of season tickets, or single tickets for Tenille Arts or the American Woman concerts to get their refunds before the deadline of Aug. 31, 2020.

Applications are now open for the 2020-21 Weyburn Youth Council to any Grade 10-12 students at the Weyburn Comprehensive School who are interested in gaining an understanding of municipal government and representing the voice of Weyburn’s youth.

Weyburn police received a report of a stolen trailer on Monday. The trailer is a white V-nose Continental enclosed trailer with Sask. licence 049 KFC. The vehicle was last parked in the New City Gardens area.

Saskatchewan’s 27 school divisions have plans in place for the safe return of students and staff to the classroom in September.
