In a vote held May 19 to 21, Saskatchewan teachers voted 85 per cent in support of a new four-year agreement.

Work is underway on the next phase of the plan to re-open the provincial economy. The target date to begin Phase 3 of Re-Open Saskatchewan is June 8, 2020. Phase 2 of the plan began this week.

Saskatchewan has two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of May 21, bringing the provincial total to 622. The two new cases are in the Far North. Of the 622 reported cases, 106 are considered active.

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce announced that the annual Chamber Summer Parade planned for July 2, 2020 will be cancelled. The decision was arrived upon after consultation with the Weyburn City Police and the Government of Saskatchewan.

The Holy Family Roman Catholic Separate School Division has made a detailed plan to close off the current 2019-20 school year, since classes will not resume this spring, and to set tentative plans for the new school year in the fall.

Effective May 20, the Saskatchewan government is lifting the supply limits on prescription drugs that were introduced to guard against drug shortages.
