Weyburn Review

For many people, Monday, Nov. 11, will be a holiday from work and from school, and some will never give a second thought to why they get the day off.

Souris Elementary School had its Remembrance Day assembly on November 7th. Representatives from the Weyburn Legion were the Colour Guards at the ceremony. The ceremony started with the Colour Party Marching in Colours.

The Assiniboia Park Elementary School had their Remembrance Day assembly on Nov.7. The grade six students were the MC's for the ceremony.

Two pilots with the renowned Snowbirds flying team, Capt. Erik Temple and Capt. Rich MacDougall, visited Queen Elizabeth School on Wednesday to do a presentation on Remembrance Day, and about their work with the Snowbirds team.
