Weyburn Review

Weyburn police were dispatched to a local business on Saturday where the manager found several youths on video stealing from the business. The matter is still under investigation as police try to identify the individuals involved.

Work crews removed two of the four underground fuel tanks used for the gas bar at the Prairie Sky Co-op’s food store, which was closed on Sept. 20.

The Weyburn-Fillmore RCMP were on the scene at a gas station in Stoughton to investigate the report of a collision of a pedestrian and a semi-truck that occurred around 7 a.m. on Monday morning.

The WCS Eagles football team’s record fell to 2-1 after their first loss of the season to the Swift Current Colts 33-0 on Saturday afternoon at Darold Kot Field. The Colts took a 17-0 lead into the half.

Yellow Grass resident Chuck Shugart posed by a group of giant pumpkins he grew in his garden. He brought them down to Weyburn to get them weighed at Mryglod Steel.

The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings ended their four game slump tonight by beating the Yorkton Terriers 3-1 on home ice. The goal scorers for the Red Wings were Taylor Schmidt, Keigan Callander and Tyson McLean.
