The Weyburn Rotary Club donated $7,000 on Thursday to the STARS Air Ambulance in Saskatchewan, which was half of their proceeds from the Golf Ball Drop fundraiser held in September.

Families filled the tables at the Allie Griffin auditorium for the Weyburn Public Library's annual pumpkin carving contest on Oct. 29. There were many pumpkins entered for the judging, with prizes awarded in four categories.

The Weyburn Police Service received a report of a stolen vehicle on Saturday. The complainant contacted police and advised that their SUV had been stolen from a local shop. The matter remains under investigation.

A group of 13 local ballet dancers will be on the stage with a professional dance company for the production of Ballet Jorgen’s “The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition”, on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Cugnet Centre.

A group of around 15 postal workers began picketing the Weyburn post office at 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning, and they will be off the job "until further notice".
