Live theatre is alive and well in Saskatchewan, and Theatre Saskatchewan exists to support it, providing resources, funding and assistance however they can, including providing much support to Crocus 80 Theatre as they hosted TheatreFest from April 1

Members of the Weyburn Ministerial Association and the public gathered to pray for those who were affected by the Humboldt Broncos bus crash on April 6, in which 16 people were killed.

The Weyburn Police Service received a call of a break-and-enter to a local church on Monday. Nothing was reported stolen, though an office door received damage. The incident remains under investigation.

A “Prayer for Humboldt” will be held in the foyer of Crescent Point Place on Monday, April 16, from 5 to 7 p.m., organized by the Weyburn Ministerial Association.

Coming to Weyburn to adjudicate a week-long festival of full-length plays was coming home for Gordon Portman, who grew up in Weyburn and got his first taste of the theatre here.
