REGINA - Average retail gasoline prices in Regina have fallen 2.3 c/L in the past week, averaging 135.20 c/L Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 82 gas outlets in Regina. This compares with the national average that has fallen 0.4 c/L in the last week to 136.17 c/L, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
“After two consecutive weeks of increases, Canada’s national average gasoline price was little changed versus last week, with declines in Manitoba and Saskatchewan offsetting increases in most other provinces,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “The levelling off came as oil prices slipped below $64 per barrel, helping ease some upward pressure at the pump. However, with the peak of hurricane season approaching and conditions favourable for tropical development, any significant storm could disrupt supply and push prices higher. For now, most Canadians can expect relatively small price fluctuations heading toward Labour Day.”
