Houligan Acres, a farm located just east of Weyburn, held a weekend of family visits for hunting Easter eggs, and visiting their baby animals, with the Easter weekend already mostly booked. They have baby goats, ducks, chicks and bunnies, and offer families horse rides as well as photos with the Easter bunny.

Dale Paslawski of the Weyburn Wildlife Federation brought out his collection of furs, skins and antlers to the Family Place on March 5, giving a presentation to two different groups of children. He had a selection that included fox, bear, deer, coyotes and wolves, among others, and antlers and horns from a variety of animals including moose and deer.

Instructor Sherry Klemmer taught two classes on how to create Ukrainian Easter eggs, at the Weyburn Public Library on Saturday. She took them step-by-step through the process of drawing a design, and dying the eggs in layers before ending with the final product.
