Foundation funds useful new items for Gateway Lodge

New furnishings and medical equipment funded by the Canora & District Health Foundation bring comfort to Gateway Lodge residents and enhance staff care.

CANORA - The Canora Gateway Lodge was the recent recipient of numerous pieces of equipment and furnishings provided by the Canora & District Healthcare Foundation. Purchased items included: an 18-inch Broda Chair ($3,985), a 20-inch Broda Chair ($4,195), two alternating pressure/low air loss mattresses ($2,800), six Spanco silicone pad hospital bed mattresses ($2,208), six lounge chairs ($7,050), two love seats ($3,450), a fixed weight scale kit for the tub room ($2,337), and a blanket warmer with stand ($7,576).

“These items are not only all designed to bring comfort to the residents, but will enhance the care that the staff are able to provide,” said Leanne Buchinski, CGL health service manager.
