On Thursday, March 23rd, the Outlook RCMP held a Community Consultation Meeting with all the local governments in the Outlook Detachment area.

The purpose of the meeting was to gather input from communities to ensure we are focussing our time and effort in areas that the people we serve see as top priorities.

As a result of discussions a general consensus was reached.

Traffic Safety - Focussing on Criminal and Provincial Driving Offences, Impaired Driving, Dangerous Driving, Distracted Driving, School Zones, Traffic Offences and Liquor Act Offences.

Crime Reduction - Intelligence gathering to combat drug trafficking, organized crime and travelling criminals.  Checking that parole and probation orders are being complied with.

Police Community Relations - Increase intelligence lead patrols, increase visibility, maintain involvement with youth and schools and maintain a good relationship with the communities we serve.

There will be another consultation meeting held in Elbow later in the month for the surrounding communities.
