“Mrs. Pederson wants to say that she misses everyone at OES and wants everyone to stay healthy. She has been reading stories to the PreK students on SeeSaw and sending activities for them to do at home. Although she’d rather be at school, Mrs. Pederson loves connecting with the children and enjoys seeing their “virtual” faces ”

The Pre-K’s have been staying connected with each other through a blog on the See Saw app.  They post pictures of things they are doing, they “read” stories to their friends, post video messages, and do virtual show and tell.

Miss Lang’s Grade 2 class has been really busy these past couple of months learning distantly. The Grade 2’s have been working hard at home continuing practicing their addition and subtraction facts and reading strategies. Miss Lang and Mrs. Harrison are so thankful for the programs of Seesaw and Microsoft Teams to stay connected, with each other and our students in order to work collaboratively virtually to continue our class learning together. Seesaw has provided access to wonderful online learning activities and allows the Grade 2’s to share pictures, and post their academic learning. In May, the Grade 2’s have been busy participating in weekly challenges posted by Miss Lang. The students created some unbelievable toilet paper towers, the creation of the word HOME using items in their house and lastly a toothpick and marshmallow tower. There have been so many successes throughout home learning that the Grade 2’s would love to share.
