KAMSACK —  Kamsack RCMP assisted in putting on a bike rodeo to help teach kids about bicycle safety when riding around the streets.

It turned out to be a huge success with a big turnout. Many kids went home with new prizes, some including new bicycles. There was even word that the first responders lost to the kids in soccer, good job guys.

Decoration Day

Kamsack RCMP members were invited to attend the D-day parade at the Kamsack cemetery with Cst. Holhoyi as the right marker in serge. Many veterans attended as well as family and loved ones. We always have to remember those who fought for us to be where we are today. It is also nice to see a proud Mountie, who embodies the core values of the RCMP, put on the red serge.

Excessive speeding

Kamsack RCMP gave out numerous warnings, as well as tickets for speeding, over the last week. As the weather gets nicer people get excited and decide they want to go a bit faster with their windows down and music playing. Let’s do two out of three of those things and cut out the speeding part. Kamsack RCMP has been and will continue to make more patrols on the highways to ensure that people are following the posted speed limits within the area.

Crime Stats

Kamsack RCMP responded to 79 calls from May 29 to June 5. This included 10 disturbing the peace calls, eight mischief calls, two assault calls, four Mental Health Act related calls, a trespass to property call, one animal call as well as a handful of other calls.
