The April storm is predicted to be one of the worst the province has seen in decades.

The blizzard warning that was in effect for the southeast region has been lifted.

Environment Canada ended the warning late Wednesday. The storm brought heavy snow and powerful winds to the southeast, causing highways to be closed and making travel of any kind treacherous due to a lack of visibility.

There is still more snow in the forecast for Thursday, and coupled with the winds, blowing snow will be a challenge.
