The Kamsack Power House Museum board and volunteers once again hosted an opening event for the facility on May 19. The day began with a pancake breakfast including sausages, strawberries and whipped cream, and refreshments.

The Kamsack RCMP will be hosting a Policing Priorities Town Hall meeting on May 29 at 7 p.m. in the OCC Hall. “The RCMP wish to invite members of the public to attend the meeting,” said a release.

Members of the Kamsack Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD) were at an abandoned residence on Third Street recently to participate in a training exercise.

A routine trip to a field south of Kamsack to do some spring baling ended in a near tragedy on May 9 for a local farmer. A baler owned by Paul and June Chernoff caught fire in the field around three miles south of Kamsack, and was engulfed in flames.
