The Norquay Glow Bonspiel was held on March 28 to 31 at the Norquay Curling Rink. A total of 27 teams from Norquay and surrounding communities participated in the bonspiel.

The Kamsack Minor Hockey banquet and awards night was held at the Broda Sportsplex on April 4.

Approximately 50 persons attended the grand opening of the newly renovated Keeseekoose Group Home north of Kamsack on April 4, which included speeches by invited guests, a tour of the homes and the land-based site and lunch.

Five members of the Kamsack Karate Club returned home from the Parkland Karate Regional and Open district tournament in Esterhazy on April 6 wearing gold, silver and bronze medals.

“It’s nice to see so many of you here this afternoon for the author reading and spring tea at the Library,” said Sherry Guenther, library board member in her introduction of published author Janet Love Morrison.

A Kamsack foursome beat out 21 rinks to take the top spot in the annual Kamsack Curling Club Mixed Bonspiel. On March 27 to 30 the annual bonspiel had a total of 22 teams competing for a top prize payout of $320 at the Broda Sportsplex.

Student archers at Kamsack Comprehensive Institute (KCI) from Grades 5 to 12 competed in the provincial archery shoot in Moose Jaw on March 30.

A combined volunteer appreciation evening in October and an informational presentation on solar energy were among the items of concern to town council at its regular meeting on March 25.

A business owner in a small community near Kamsack is living with fear and frustration.

The third annual Miracle Lake Fish and Fun Day, hosted by the Norquay Curling Club, the Norquay Skating Rink and Prairie and Pine Snow Riders, was held March 23.
