Among communities within the Sunrise Health Region, Kamsack has the highest rate of potentially vulnerable families, town council was told last week by a delegation from the health region. Kamsack has a rate of 46.

Gary Shepherd, director of Mental Health & Addictions Services, recently made a presentation to the Sunrise Regional Health Authority on the progress fulfilling the recommendations of the Mental Health and Addictions Action Plan for Saskatchewan.

“Everyone enjoyed the clinic,” Kevin Chutskoff, president of the Kamsack Curling Club, said of the clinic that was held at the Broda Sportsplex on January 27.

A Swan River rink topped the annual Norquay Open Mixed Bonspiel that was played January 16 to 23 with 18 rinks participating. Out-of-town rinks were from Arran, Benito, Norquay, Pelly and Swan River.
