No provincial sales tax on feminine hygiene products started July 1

The Government of Saskatchewan removed the Provincial Sales Tax (PST) from feminine hygiene products, effective July 1. This follows the federal government’s recently-announced GST exemption for tampons, sanitary belts and napkins and menstrual cups.

The Yorkton Co-op, which operates a grocery store and a convenience store in Kamsack, has donated $5,100 towards a new CT Scan for the regional hospital in Yorkton.
