Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 4, Access Communications customers in Yorkton and Melville will be able to watch newly released and classic movies on AccessOnDemand - Access's on-demand video service. Customers will be able to enjoy their favourite films at any time, day or night. And the best part? The first one is free; eligible customers need only visit myaccess.ca/freemovie.
According to Access Communications CEO Jim Deane, AccessOnDemand is the perfect replacement for movie lovers who miss their neighbourhood video store. "With movie rental stores disappearing left and right, we are thrilled to now be able to offer this service to Access customers in Yorkton and Melville," he said. "In the time it takes them to microwave a bag of popcorn, customers will be able to find something to watch, queue up their selection, and settle in for a night at the movies - all from the comfort of their couch."
AccessOnDemand offers the latest in on-demand programming. With the ability to pause, rewind and fast-forward content straight from their set-top boxes, as well as watch previews of all the newest movies, Access customers will have total control of their viewing experience. The service will also carry countless hours' worth of content in the form of Access7 programming. Featuring the very best of Access7's Saskatchewan-made content (such as Cruisin' on 7, In the Huddle, the 2012 Saskatchewan Summer Games, and more), customers will have a wide range of local content from around the province to keep them entertained.
