The second annual 'Pizza Farm' initiative was launched just outside Yorkton last week. The idea is one which helps connect young students more directly to the importance of agriculture in terms of food production by giving students a hands-on experience involving the things farmers produce which go into a pizza, wheat for flour, tomatoes, garlic, canola for oil, milk for cheese etc.. This year students from not only Yorkton, but also Canora were involved.
