Human remains found near Punnichy June 10 have been positively identified as belonging to a 32-year-old Muskowekwan First Nation man who went missing April 7.
Fenton Blair Albert was last seen April 6 in Regina. Last week, a Muskowekwan resident found what appeared to be human remains on his property in a wooded area just northeast of the Village of Punnichy, about an hour northwest of Melville on Hwy 15.
Punnichy RCMP investigated and confirmed Thursday the remains were human.
An autopsy conducted by the Chief Coroner's Office June 13 identified Albert from dental records. The autopsy did not reveal signs of foul play, police said, but the investigation remains open.
