Saint for a day

Registration for the 2014-15 school year is underway.

Registration for the 2014-15 school year is underway. For students entering high school in the Fall, Sacred Heart High School is offering an opportunity to spend a day attending classes and learning about the activities, programs, and services available.

From March 24 through 26, Gr. 8 students will have the opportunity to tour Sacred Heart, attend the morning classes as a Grade 9 student, join into some fun activities led by the Student Representative Council, then enjoy lunch prepared by the Commercial Cooking class. After lunch, students will attend Practical and Applied Arts classes.

"Our Catch the Spirit days give Grade 8 students the chance to see what a day in the life of a student at Sacred Heart is really like," said Sacred Heart Principal Trent Senger. "They get to attend some classes, meet other students and teachers, and as they tour the school, see and hear about the many things that makes Sacred Heart a great school." Vice Principal Donna Malinowski added, "The transition from Grade 8 to High School is a time that is very exciting for students, yet can also be a bit stressful. We hope that by getting to meet other students and staff, kids who will be coming to Sacred in the Fall will be more comfortable and confident."

Students and parents can find out more information and register for the Catch the Spirit days by contacting the Sacred Heart Main Office at (306) 783-3128.
