Week marks drowning prevention

Drowning Prevention Week is taking place in Saskatchewan from July 18-25. The week is organized by the Lifesaving Society to educate the public about the hazards on, in and near the water.

Attend the Grand Opening of the reconstructed Bell Barn at Indian Head, Sask. on Saturday, July 24, at 1:00 p.m. Where: Round barn, one mile north of Indian Head, on Hwy 56. The barn ruins were dismantled in 2008, and reconstruction started in 2009.

Walker out of jail

Kim Walker is out of prison and back in Yorkton - at least for now. The father convicted of second-degree murder for the 2003 killing of his daughter's boyfriend has been released on bail pending his new trial.

Library is closed

Important to watch for mold growth

Sunrise Health Region is reminding residents throughout the region who have been affected by recent flooding of the risks related to the development of and exposure to mould. Mould growth is expected in buildings in the aftermath of floods.
