Shoppers Drug Mart’s Shoppers Love You campaign picks a women’s based charity to support, and they picked the Yorkton Family Resource Centre because they advocate for women and their health and well-being.

In keeping with the season, it was pumpkin carving time at the Boys and Girls Club in Yorkton. The local club offered up an evening of gourd artistry Wednesday with 16 youth taking part in the messy, but fun endeavour.

On Oct. 9, a 300 piece Mastercraft socket/wrench set was stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Fourth Ave North In Yorkton. The set is distinctive as the initials "GS" are engraved on them. The container they were in is blue, and tools are metal.

155 grams of Cocaine and Crack Cocaine seized

The CP Holiday Train is making a return trip to Bredenbury and Yorkton. The train, which was last here in 2017, is going to be arriving on Dec. 4. The first stop in the area will be in Bredenbury, at 10:15 a.m.

In the fall of 2018, Yorkdale Central School received some rough news in that the play structure at its Kindergarten to Grade 2 playground would likely need to be removed within the next year.

Halle Thompson has health issues requiring special attention. That means added costs for the Thompson family. They were recently helped out in that regard when Yorkton Hyundai presented Halle and her mother Kaelyn with a cheque for $3620.

Project to repair items rather than throw away

Typically dexterity games are either love them, or leave them in my world. Crokinole is the best game there is, rod hockey is fantastic, but most are not exactly my forte.
