The Saskatchewan Music Alliance is bringing a summer camp to Yorkton.

The class of 2017 at the Yorkton Regional High School donned the cap and gowns and celebrated the end of their high school career on June 29.

Saskatchewan will become the permanent home of one of 13 unique works of art representing Canadian provinces and territories that have been created in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary.

Ryan Guenette, RBC Branch Manager, presented Ross Fisher, the Executive Director of The Health Foundation, with a donation of $1,000 from RBC.

The big draw was made, and someone is one house richer thanks to the Health Foundation and Re/Max Blue Chip Realty. The first ever home lottery held by the Health Foundation saw Darrell Izzard of Benito, MB win the grand prize.

As of July 1, 2017, new rights will be provided to renters who are fleeing situations of interpersonal violence and abuse.

The Yorkton Exhibition Association Summer Fair is set to run Wednesday to Saturday of this week. Again the four-day event promises fun for all ages with the return of family favourites such as the West Coast Amusements midway and petting zoo.

It’ll be a country Saturday night to wrap-up entertainment at the summer fair this week as Doc Walker takes to the Painted Hand Casino Main Stage. The Manitoba-based country band has been a force in the genre for years.

An iconic piece of Americana is coming to Yorkton.
