The arrival of July on the calender means it is Yorkton Exhibition time one again in the city. The annual summer fair started this morning (Wednesday) with the Yorkton Regional 4-H Show, the agricultural highlight of the four day event.

It did not come all at once as it did it 2010, but the result of more than 10 centimetres of rain in Yorkton Saturday night and Sunday morning was largely the same for residents.

There is more to tourism than just accommodations, food and cultural activities. That was a gist of a Tourism Yorkton bus tour of the city June 19 for employees of tourism-related local businesses.

By the end of summer it will be easier to find business locations in the downtown core of the city.

The Health Foundation and TD Bank Financial Group announced the recipients of the Spring Education Awards for 2014. Applications are considered twice each year and awards are given each spring and fall.

An end of school year bash was held at Patrick Park in the city last Wednesday. The event included face painting. life-sized board games, soccer, tug o 'war, and music by Freedom Sound among the activities for students and their families.

The donation comes from RBC's Day of Service program, which celebrates National Volunteer Week. RBC provides this ongoing program for employees who volunteer in their community.
