The ambitious and versatile Laketown Players have begun practices for their annual dinner theatre. February 6-9, 2014, will undoubtedly see this drama group play to sellout audiences at the Saltcoats Community Hall.

Airport gets new name

The local airport has a new name. The Yorkton Municipal Airport will now be known as the Yorkton Regional Airport.

Longer semis on twinned highway

The retirement of a Saskatoon Queen's Bench judge has led to a shakeup on the Yorkton bench. Leaving the Yorkton circuit is the Honourable Darin C. Chow, who has served the provincial court in the area since May 2012. Chow was promoted to Mr.
