New SGI plates

Saskatchewan football fans will soon be able to show their Rider Pride on almost any ride. Starting Oct. 1, SGI will begin offering its Rider specialty plates in a smaller format for use on motorcycles and snowmobiles.

July retail sets mark

Saskatchewan's July retail sales were the highest on record for the month, hitting $1.47 billion according to a report on retail sales released by Statistics Canada today. Sales increased by 9.1 per cent over the same period for July 2011.

Average earnings on the rise

July's average weekly earnings reached an all-time record, according to a Statistics Canada report released today. Average weekly earnings in the province were $929.31, surpassing the previous record of $917.55 set in March 2012.
