Laketown Leaders thank all for the patronage at the "pie & coffee" sales during the garage sale! Plans are underway for season end supper. Throughout July and August there will be coffee on Mondays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Yorkton photographer Brittany Brenzen decided she wanted to expand her horizons so this winter, she bought a ticket to Costa Rica, quit her job at Harvest Meats, packed a backpack and set off for three months in Central America.

The City of Yorkton has come on side in support for a transitional home for youth in the city.

Yorkton Council heard officially the Farming for Health project they were involved with as a fundraiser by The Health Foundation to raise money toward a new hospital for the city was a huge success.

The Dracup Avenue Project previously approved by Council in its 2014 budget has taken on a decidedly larger scope following a decision by Council at its regular meeting Monday.

The City of Yorkton will be entering into an agreement with Multi-Material Stewardship Western Inc. to help fund local municipal recycling efforts.

Friday, June 6 marked the 70th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. The Alexander Ross Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion held a parade and service at the Cenotaph in the Yorkton Cemetery.
