The Gallagher Centre will be host to the first speaking engagement of Mark Tewksbury, chef de mission of Team Canada at the London Summer Olympic Games, following his return to Canada.

The Breast Friends have made a donation of $10,000 to The Health Foundation to assist the purchase of additional ultrasound equipment for the regional hospital in Yorkton. Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation, accepted the cheque.

Saskatchewan export sales continue to rise according to a new report from Statistics Canada. Saskatchewan posted a 3.6 per cent increase in June compared to numbers of June 2011.

Time to run

Municipal and school board elections will be held across Saskatchewan this fall. In terms of running for Council nominations will open Aug. 27, and close at 4 p.m. Sept. 19.
