4 accused of killing Cody Tait have more court appearances

Scotty Jimmy, Robbie Cameron, Allison Bear, and Dana Morningchild are all charged with second-degree murder

SASKATOON – Four people charged with second-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Cody Tait had appearances in court Tuesday but their matters were all adjourned to Aug. 9 with the accused scheduled to appear by CCTV.

Twenty-year-old Scotty Lee Jimmy from North Battleford, 28-year-old Robbie Brent Cameron, 20-year-old Allison Ocean Sky Bear, and 30-year-old Dana Andrew Morningchild, all from Saskatoon are accused of killing Tait.

Court documents show that Morningchild also faces two drug-related and seven weapons charges in other incidents.

According to police, Rosthern RCMP received a call at about 5:50 p.m. on March 27 about a shooting on Beardy’s / Odemasis Cree Nation. Officers found Tait on a road and despite life-saving efforts he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
