Leader of the Official Opposition Ryan Meili held a press conference on Tuesday to call for enhanced support for seniors during the COVID-19 crisis.

As of March 31, 2020, Saskatchewan has eight new, confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 184. Four people are currently in hospital, with three receiving inpatient care in Saskatoon.

Today, the Government of Saskatchewan announced the Ministry of Social Services Pandemic Response.

Seven new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Manitoba, moving the total count of positive tests in the province to 103 in total. Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba chief public health officer, announced the new cases in a media briefing March 31.

A possible resolution in the case against a Loon Lake man charged with several weapons-related offences didn’t materialize as previously anticipated. Stephane Joseph Leclerc, 50, appeared via CCTV in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on March 26.

One of the first two deaths from COVID-19 in Saskatchewan was an individual from just outside the Battlefords area. The individual was Alice Grove, 75. Her name was made public Tuesday morning on John Gormley’s radio show.
