Canora Grade 12 students were among nearly 20,000 elementary and high school students under the voting age who cast ballots for the provincial election in the Student Vote program for the 2016 Saskatchewan provincial election.

Swimming pool staff hired

The Canora swimming pool staff for the 2016 season were hired at the March 1 meeting of Canora town council. Hired as manager was JilliAnn Sawatsky, while the assistant manager is Philomina Mykytyshyn.

Elected April 4, the whirlwind of activity began for Terry Dennis. A couple of days later, he was in Regina for his first caucus meeting as one of the 51 newly elected Saskatchewan Party MLAs.
