The Town of Preeceville council approved the minutes from the September meeting that was held September 16. A regular council meeting was held October 14 at council chambers at the Town of Preeceville administration building.

Meagan Barabash of Martensville and originally of Preeceville was presented with a YWCA Saskatoon Women of Distinction Award on October 16. Barabash joined 14 other women in receiving this award in an online viewing presentation.

The first flu vaccine clinic of the season was held at Rainbow Hall in Canora on October 19. Kelly Strelioff, Canora Public Health Nurse, said 261 individuals were immunized throughout the day.

The 2020 Saskatchewan municipal election is set for November 9, with Canora choosing its mayor and six councillors.
