Kamsack advances in cadet zone curling

The Preeceville 606 air cadet squadron hosted zone curling to determine which team would advance to provincials that will be hosted in Gravelbourg on March 5.

The Preeceville 606 air cadet squadron hosted zone curling to determine which team would advance to provincials that will be hosted in Gravelbourg on March 5. There were six teams representing the six different squadrons from across the zone including the host team on February 21.

            Teams entered were from: Foam Lake, Canora, Melville, Kamsack, Yorkton and Preeceville. Kamsack, Preeceville and Foam Lake all tied for first place but it was Kamsack that beat out Preeceville by three points in the points system to advance to provincials in Gravelbourg on March 5.

            Members of the Preeceville team consisted of: Rhianna Westerman, Jordan Lowe, Morgan Mclean and Audrey Vargas. Brayden Mclean of the Preeceville squadron helped the Kamsack team come out on top and advance to provincials. Roberta Kaytor also of the Preeceville squadron played on the Melville team.
