Saskatoon volunteer faces more sexual assault charges

Saskatoon Police have charged Eric Pohorecky with additional sexual assault and sexual interference charges

SASKATOON – Police have laid additional charges against a man accused of sexually assaulting youth.

On Wednesday Saskatoon Police charged 62-year-old Eric Pohorecky with an additional count of sexual assault and sexual interference bringing his total number of charges to five counts of sexual assault and five counts of sexual interference.

Pohorecky was arrested on April 22 after an investigation into sexual assault and sexual interference incidents that occurred between 2016 and 2017. After further investigation, police laid additional charges in connection to incidents between 2018 and 2021. Police said those charges are connected to four victims who were all under the age of 16 when the alleged incidents took place.

Pohorecky is known to be a community volunteer in Saskatoon and believe there may be more victims. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SPS at 306-975-8300.

Pohorecky had an appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court Tuesday and the matter was adjourned to June 14. He was released from custody on April 25. 

The charges against him haven’t been proven in court.
