Preeceville elementary school students had the opportunity to learn the basics and have some fun while curling in the annual school bonspiel held at the Preeceville Curling rink on February 5.
There were 15 teams entered with 75 students participating in the bonspiel. Each team entered played three games with points recorded for each win, tie and per rock scored in each game.
The top team that scored the highest points was the team comprised of Trever Geistlinger, Hayley Payette, Ezzy Quewezance, Zander Purdy and Kyle Chopty. The runner-up team, which placed second included: Destiny Goosen, Abigail Snider, Gerbo Javelona and Ryu Rada.
A hot lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs and other treats was served throughout the day.
