Warrant to hold issued

Where physical distancing is challenging, wearing a non-medical mask or face covering may help, according to the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Premier Scott Moe announced on Monday Saskatchewan has now hit 300 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 178 having been reported as recovered. “Today’s case numbers continue to show what we are doing in this province is working,” said Moe.

A sentencing date for a man found guilty of attempted murder will be scheduled in June. Cory Smockum, 38, was supposed to be sentenced in Saskatoon Court of Queen’s Bench on March 23 but the case was adjourned due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
