New transload facility has energy products in mind

By Lisa Joy, Local Journalism Initiative Reporter Canada’s prisons recently recorded the highest use of force incidents ever and there are too many involving mentally ill inmates in Regional Treatment Centres, according to Canada’s prison watchdog.

Johnny Petryshyn, conservation officer stationed in Preeceville, was the guest speaker and touched on a variety of significant topics during the Sturgis Wildlife Federation annual banquet and awards on February 8.

“Walking is one of the best exercises for all age groups and it is free,” said Eugene Boychuk, one of the organizers of the Sturgis indoor walking program. The program kicked off for another season on November 1.

This year, a Togo resident felt compelled to raise funds for Telemiracle 44. Edward Irvine decided to participate in Telemiracle 44 Bowling, an event that took place on February 9 in Yorkton at the Yorkton Bowl Arena.

On February 23, 2020 at 6:52 p.m. Canora RCMP responded to a complaint of a break and enter in the town of Canora. A male forced entry into the home and assaulted a female inside the residence.
