A business based in Canora has produced a new oral spray which offers potentially life-changing benefits to the human immune system.

A Norquay woman who is passionate about her community and about volunteerism has been presented with a plaque from the Garden of Saskatchewan (GOS) Citizen’s award committee.

Although now down to about six regular members, the Heart and Home Quilt Club in Kamsack is pleased that it has been able to donate a total of 51 covers that are being made into Victoria’s Quilts for cancer patients.

The Sturgis Elementary students performed their Christmas concert in the Sturgis Composite School to a full gymnasium on December 13. Brad Cameron, principal, was the master of ceremonies for the evening.

As has become a tradition in recent years, Canora and area residents showed their support for Fill the Sleigh Day at The Bargain Shop as part of the Canora Ambulance Yuletide Toy Drive.

On December 7, the River Ridge Fish and Game League held its annual antler measuring at the Canora Activity Centre. There were a total of 19 sets of antlers brought in and seven of them were juniors, said Kathy Thomas, president of River Ridge.

It was a concert to Welcome December at Westminster Memorial United Church in Kamsack on December 10 when the Kamsack Community Choir presented its annual Christmas concert.

The building that previously had been known as the Sturgis Elementary School has a new lease on life. The Town of Sturgis took over the ownership of the building a few months after the school amalgamated with the high school in June 2017.
