Experts, guest speakers discuss tough topics with students

This year the Canora Skating Club’s achievement day was themed “Happy Birthday Canada,” and was dedicated to Canada’s 150 birthday, according to Shyla Yannoulis, club president.

Canora and Kamsack residents are being invited to a symposium being held in Canora next week to explore ways to create a healthy, active community and develop realistic local strategies to get more youths and their families more active more often.

Kennedy Kosheluk of Preeceville is a step closer to attaining her dream of becoming a professional pianist. She was recently accepted into the Department of Music program at the University of Saskatchewan.

The Schutte Lake ice fishing derby was a huge success,” said Lorelie Delawski, an organizer. The Endeavour Skating Arena hosted the derby on March 12. “This is the first time we have hosted a fishing derby and it went over well,” she said.
