After only a week listed on an Internet site that helps raise funding for various projects, a former Kamsack resident has already reached her target amount, confirming that her children’s book will be published and distributed early to mid-summer.

A couple Kamsack residents took it upon themselves to fight against the government’s plan to discontinue the STC bus service and began Saturday by circulating a petition in the community.
