Lion Bear Fox is the name of the three-person group that will be performing in the second of four Stars for Saskatchewan concerts being brought to Kamsack by the community’s Arts Council.

Bernice Kropodra, Lynda Cherwenuk, Joanne Zychkowski and Joyce MacLean took home first-place bragging rights after the whist games played at the Kamsack seniors’ centre October 23 and November 13.

As of last week 26 vendors had rented a total of 29 tables for Kamsack’s annual Christmas in November trade show of crafts and home-based businesses.

Tim Atchinson of Lintlaw recently took over ownership of the business which had previously been known as the Chuckwagon Diner. Atchy's Family Diner opened for business on November 8.

Richardson Pioneer said it was pleased to support the Preeceville Arena with a gift of $75,000 to help replace the roof and upgrade the aging facility. The Arena will be renamed Richardson Pioneer Skating Arena.

Curling season kicked off at the Preeceville Curling Rink with 12 teams registered in the four-on-four curling and 24 registered in the two-on-two curling. The season began November 8.

The Family Resource Centre, which has been serving children, youth, families and communities in the area for 20 years, is celebrating its anniversary with a coffee and goodies afternoon at both the public libraries in Sturgis on November 22 and Preec

"What great weather we are having for November," said Blake Zagrodney, Kelvingotn 4-H Beef Club reporter. The Kelvington 4-H Beef Club held its second meeting on November 6 at the Kelvington High School.
